Main goals for PTSA and initial feedback from parents:
Inform parents of student and school happenings, better understand the Early College, collaborate across grades, learn from staff and students
Achieve more accessible fundraising to help with:
Scholarships for seniors
Supplies for staff and students, clubs, and events
Support teacher appreciation week (PTSA normally helped fund this in the past??)
Access funds we already have with PTSA (we need a new treasurer)
Possible ideas for PTSA to help with or run
Skate Nights??
Spirit Nights (Chic Fil A, Applebees, Zaxby's, etc)
Culture Festival
Thrift Shop Social? (student idea :D)
Fall and Spring Festival assistance (parents need to complete a county volunteer form)
Annual school dance, newly renamed from Homecoming to Winter Formal
Maybe a field day for spring? Collaboration with FSU Athletic and Education departments?
Resource Fair? Collaboration with FSU?
or Parent speakers in classrooms/during PTSA meetings?
